Vivek Agnihotri is India's cutting edge filmmaker and a free thinker. He has made a critically acclaimed and path breaking film 'Chocolate' and a blockbuster-India's first soccer film 'Goal'.
Vivek has done his PG in Strategic Planning from School of Social Studies, Bhopal and PG in 'Advertising’ from IIMC, Delhi, India. He did his CSS in 'Organization & Management' from Harvard University, Boston, USA.
Vivek has worked in leading advertising agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, J. Walter Thompson and has been a founder member of McCann Ericson in India. He has successfully launched Gillette & Coca Cola brands in India. Vivek has run his own advertising agency - Art Beat - rated as 10 fastest growing agencies by Business India.
Vivek then moved to making AD films. He has made more than 100 ad films for Procter & Gamble, Tata’s, Godrej, NAB etc. His films on ‘AIDS’ & National Association for Blind have won several awards including AD Club Gold. Vivek has been founder of India’s first private TV channels shows such as '' Saturday Suspense' X Zone, Rishtey & Gubbarey. Vivek has pioneered Telefilm concept on TV.
He has been teaching 'Creative Thinking' at various colleges and universities in London, Delhi and Mumbai.
His first novel chronicling 30 years of modern India is under publication. Vivek is currently making 'Freedom' - a defining film on corruption in modern India and is also mentoring a film on Naxalite movement for the students of ISB, Hyderabad.
